Pauline Walzak is a French photographer based in Amsterdam (NL), specializing in portraits, interiors, and architecture.

Her photography journey began in 2007 during a trip to Australia, where she documented her travels across Queensland and New South Wales. Capturing breathtaking landscapes and connecting with fellow travellers sparked a deep passion for photography. She continued honing her portraiture and landscape photography skills while exploring Southeast Asia, Brazil, and Colombia. Later, she spent eight years in London, a dynamic city that became the perfect backdrop for photographing its vibrant energy and extraordinary characters.
Inspired by interior design and unique spaces, Pauline expanded her expertise in 2022 by completing a short course in Architectural Photography at the London College of Communication, further refining her skills in this field.
In September 2022, alongside various local visual artists, Pauline participated in a group exhibition at Salon Smit & Soetekouw at Vrijpaleis in Amsterdam. She exhibited portraits of her young daughters, part of an ongoing series documenting her family and daily life.
While living in Amsterdam, she contributed to Soul of Amsterdam, a book published in 2023 by Jonglez Edition, which showcases hidden gems across the city, offering readers a distinctive alternative to traditional travel guides.
Last year, she completed a photo documentary about a team of young female hockey players at the AMVJ club in Amsterdam. Over two years, she followed their training sessions, competitions, and social gatherings, capturing their bond, vulnerabilities, strength, and courage despite their young age. More recently, she covered the street festivities in Rijnstraat, Amsterdam Zuid, during the 2024 Marathon, highlighting the vibrant atmosphere and diverse events of the day.
Pauline particularly enjoys photographing artists and capturing creatives. In Amsterdam, she has had the pleasure of meeting and photographing French artists such as Emma Peters and Pierre Maere during the Padam Festival 2023 and Thomas VDB.
In addition to her documentary and personal projects, Pauline regularly works on commissions for individuals, companies, and private associations.
